Richard J. Meelia
President

Over the past nine years, Tyco Healthcare President, Rich Meelia has directed Tyco’s Healthcare acquisition, integration and product development efforts – growing the segment from a stand-alone business to the diverse $8.6 billion business it is today.

Rich joined Kendall Healthcare Products, the foundation of the Tyco Healthcare business segment, as Group President in 1991. In 1995, he became President of the newly created Tyco Healthcare segment.

Before joining Kendall/Tyco Healthcare, Rich was the President of Infusaid, Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of implantable infusion pumps and ports and division of Pfizer Hospital Products Group. Previous to that, he held various sales and marketing positions with the Pharmaseal and McGaw divisions of the American Hospital Supply Corporation.

Rich received his bachelor degree from St. Anselm College and a Master in Business Administration degree from Boston College. Rich sits on the Board of Directors of Aspect Medical Systems; Chernobyl Children Project, Inc. and St. Anselm College and is Chairman of the Board of Directors for Employ+Ability, Inc., a career empowerment network for people with disabilities.

Charles J. Dockendorff
CFO and Vice President of Finance

Chuck Dockendorff, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance for Tyco Healthcare has been with the Company for 14 years. He began his career at Kendall Healthcare Products Company in 1989 as Controller. In 1994, he assumed the Vice President/Controller role and in 1995, became Chief Financial Officer of the Tyco Healthcare Segment.

Chuck, a Certified Public Accountant, received his Bachelor in Business Administration/Accounting from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Science in Finance from Bentley College.

Kevin J. Gould
Group President, Tyco Healthcare North America

Kevin Gould has held the Group President, Tyco Healthcare Group North America role since 1998. In this capacity, Kevin is responsible a $5.5 billion portion of Tyco Healthcare. Kevin joined the company in 1991 as Vice President/General Manager for Kendall Healthcare’s Vascular Therapy Division. In April 1993, he assumed the role of President of the Vascular Therapy Division; in August 1995, he was promoted to President of Kendall Healthcare Products.

Prior to joining Kendall/Tyco Healthcare, Kevin was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Infusaid, a division of Pfizer Hospital Products Group.

Kevin is a Xaverian Brothers High School graduate and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Anselm’s.

Amy Wendell
Vice President, Business Development

Amy Wendell joined Kendall in 1986 as a Development Engineer before assuming increasingly more senior roles including Research Engineer, Product Manager and Director of Business Development for Kendall and her current role of Vice President of Tyco Healthcare Business Development in 1998. Among her responsibilities is directing the company’s organic growth and new product development efforts.

Amy has played a key role in managing the acquisition-related activities of U.S. Surgical, Sherwood Davis & Geck and Confab in 1998, Mallinckrodt in 2000 along with numerous other due-diligence, divestiture and business strategy efforts.

Amy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lawrence Institute of Technology and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from University of Chicago.
